No, I don't believe he did , the people went after him ,not him after them in there homes , besides we all don't like sales people because our home is our safety from the outside world and to intrude is not like him , in my opinion . He is a gentlemen ! And he doesn't need to beg for us to come to him neither.

the answers are unbelievable...We do this because Jesus did. He came on earth to preach the good news of Jehovah God. So we are imitators of Jesus so we do the same things he did and thats preach. We are the only ones who follow Jesus' footsteps...especially in preaching -prince

The reasons why and how are plainly stated in the the Bible. 1) Why? Matthew 28:19,20 if you really care to read it. 2) How? Mark 5:37 if you want to read this also. Jehovah's Witnesses have discerned that this directed obligation is actually an expression of love and concern not only for neighbors but also and more importantly an expression of appreciation of what Jehovah (God's name) has provided for them by means of his son Jesus (God's sons' name). They do this at their own expense, free. They also, like most, would like to go to the beach or lake or sleep in in the mornings but instead they sense the urgency to reveal the kingdom of God and all it's blessings to those who would like to know more about it. For those who do not care to know more they excuse themselves and proceed to the next house.

Jesus went to where he could find the people. In the first century, people regularly gathered in the synagogues to hear the Scriptures read. Jesus seized opportunities to preach to them there, not just in one city, but in cities and villages all around Galilee and Judea. (Matt. 4:23; Luke 4:43, 44; John 18:20) He himself set the example as to how the preaching activity was to be done. The Bible tells us that he preached by the seashore, on the mountainside, along the road, in villages, and in the homes of those who welcomed him. Wherever he could find people, he preached to them about God's Kingdom. (Luke 5:3; 6:17-49; 7:36-50; 9:11, 57-62; 10:38-42; John 4:4-26, 39-42) When he instructed his disciples on how to preach about God's Kingdom, he told them to go to the homes of people to witness to them. (Matt. 10:7, 11-13) The apostle Paul specifically mentions how he followed this pattern and went teaching 'house to house.' (Acts 20:20) Jehovah’s Witnesses today follow the pattern set by Jesus and the first-century disciples of Christ.
