Beginning to talk to her again is a good sign. If you JUST started talking, then just let it be for a little while. Make your own judgement as to how your relationship is going, and how she acts around you. That will give you clues as to whether it is safe or not to propose your relationship get more intimate again. This also depends on several other factors, such as whether or not either of you have partners at the moment.

The key word here is S L O W. let her make most of the first iniatives. you will soon get a feeling of where she is coming from. Then, you can take it from there.

I think the most important thing is to make the most of the times you're together -- staying focussed on here & now. If you get caught up too much in thinking about the future and worrying about it, it's easy to miss out on taking care of the present. Taking care of the present often takes care of the future without any special effort.

Weight the pros and cons of getting back with and ex.She is your ex for a reason. Think it through before you do anything.

There is a reason you broke up and it has only been 5 months since you split so I know the pain of the breakup is still there. It is much easier to go back into your relationship when you are feeling lonely and hurt. You are comfortable with this person and right now you are probably focusing on the good points of your relationship. BUT, don't get short term memory loss. I cannot stress this more and this coming from experience, really evaluate and remember what it was that broke you up and decide if you are willing to change and is she. Not so easy. I have gotten back together with two previous exes and it never lasted. I felt like I was walking on eggshells in order to make the relationship work and lost myself and who I was in the process. Never worth it!! Having your heart broken and dreams crushed by the same person twice is twice as hard.

There is nothing wrong with getting back together as long as it is what you want to do (and she does too).
