  • Hiler may well have been all the things you say but he was also a very intelligent, charismatic and powerful personality. His role was to lead the government and appeal to his people, both of which tasks he fulfilled. Key memebers of government had repsonsibility for different areas of rule as in any complex governing body - its not just down to one man. Hitler ahd a huge ego problem and an inferirity complex, this drove him to take extreme measures against ethnic minorities. If he had maintained a more balanced view he would probably have gone down in history as a good leader.
  • He supposedly had great charisma, although I don't see it. He fed the people the idea that they were superior..he stroked their egos. That's all it takes with some people..feed 'em a pack of lies about themselves and you own them! I also think the people were brainwashed and thus docile and more amenable to crap! :)
  • Hitler had a sense of just where to tap into the German psyche after WWI and his fiery, hypnotic oratory galvanized his audience to follow him into history. He became the German peoples' voice, thereby becoming their leader.
  • Are you talking about George Bush....hard to tell them apart!
