you have too, i see people each day that dont tell there Significant other and i will tell you they are the scum of the earth. I dont understand how someone can honestly sleep at night knowing they infected someone with a new disease when all they had to do was use protection.

I have HPV, and I am dating a new guy... I want to have sex with him but first I have to tell him that I have an STD. Even if I am scared of his reaction I know that I have to let him know before he makes the decision of having sex with me.He has the right to know, and it's just the most honest and respectfull thing that I can do about it - it's also a way of showing love.

If I had one I would bring it up if the topic of sex came up. And if you know you have an STD and you dont tell him/her before having sex you could end up in jail.

Yes, I would, although it would be difficult, and I would try to wait until the time was right (e.g. a first date may be too soon). As for it being ethical to do so, then definitely. If you don't tell somebody and they end up, at worst, dying because of it, how would that make you feel?

If you're planning on dating and having a relationship with this person. Yes it's fair to let them know. Because if you have an STD and you don't tell them and it shows that you're not having protected sex. Maybe you don't need to date for a while until you get YOUR problem fixed.

Hell yes, I would tell them, and I DID!!! But I sure as hell didn't get told by the one who purposely gave it to me. At no time do I want to be that kind of person. EVER.

you have to , before you have sex. its not right otherwise. its actually legally considered sexual assault if yu dont tell them.
