Honest question - Why is it that so many people believe so many statements made by Rush, Hannity or O'Reilly at face value? When you read any of their bios, you see they were all mediocre students and workers prior to becoming the Right's mouthpieces.

I don't believe what they say at face value, and I find several of them to be annoyingly rude, which may explain their past as employees. However, being an A student doesn't always mean you are smart, it just means you are good at taking tests. Some people aren't good at taking tests, but they are very smart. In a democracy, we have a responsibility and a duty to listen to all sides and not just follow a party line. So we need commentators and journalists on both sides of every issue. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. Its our duty to gather as much information as we can and sift it through our knowledge of human nature and history to find which is most likely the "truth."
