  • To some extent. How much will your money be worth when there is no food or water to be bought?
  • If your Father is talking about "money", as a token of exchange, being replaced by a different token, like a credit card, debit card, etc., then he will probably be right in the distant future. If he's talking about giving up on money, because it's worthless, and going back to a "barter" system, I think not. Most, present day, societies aren't prepared of a system of that type.
