Too much brake fluid in master cylinder?

Here lets make everyone happy. Get to a shop!

It was just a “thought” as indicated by the question (?) mark at the end of the comment. I believe that if the master cylinder is over filled it will cause such a scenario as mentioned in the original question. It might be worth considering. It could also be old and dirty brake fluid? But since you seem to know more than I do, then what is your explanation?

Depends, if it happens only after driving a bit, could be the brakes are heating up. If that's the case you are either 'riding' the brakes or a caliper may be stuck yo...

It is imperative that you properly maintain your brakes. Take your car in to the mechanic right away.

Air in the brake lines make your brakes act soft and spongy, not hard. Regardless, if you are having brake problems and you don't know how to work on them... GET YOUR CAR TO A MECHANIC! BRAKE FAILURE CAN KILL YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE! Fewer things about operating a motor vehicle are more dangerous to you and the people around you than brakes that don't work! Good luck!

It means something that, if you have to ask here, you have zero chance of repairing on your own. I've had a few brake issues on various cars over the years (blown lines, seized calipers.....) and sometimes even I can't fix what is broken. This is one of those types of things ;)
