You know the big flying white animal? Dog or Dragon? Please answer my friend and I are going back and forth over this question.

    He's a DRAGON--a luck dragon. His face does look like a dog, though, doesn't it. Aside from watching the movies, I also read the book, written by Michael Ende.

    Falkor the luckdragon:
    "A luckdragon has an elongated pearl-colored body with no wings and only rudimentary paws. The form of its head is described less precisely, but in the 1984 film adaptation of the novel, it had distinctive canine features, and additionally, in the movie Falkor asks Atreyu to scratch him behind his ear, accenting his dog-like appearance, which led to confusion among those who haven't read the book. The assumption that luckdragons are somehow related to dogs is thus incorrect.
    Luckdragons bear a close resemblance to Chinese dragons or Lóng, especially the classical depiction of such which describes them as possessing the face of a camel and its wingless enlongated body."

    He says over and over again in the movie that he's a LUCK DRAGON. I'd assume that means he's a dragon.

    I think you are talking about the movie Never Ending Story... it's about a boy who reads a special book and everything he reads starts to happen to him....this is where this white big dog appears... very cute movie.
