Do you believe that venus used to be a planet almost parallel to ours, but the greenhouse effect actually occurred on that planet, causing it to trap in so much CO2, a chain reaction started making the entire atmosphere uninhabitable for life?

Possibly yes. This would also indicate that a CO2 Greenhouse Effect can happen as a natural part of the evolution of certain planets at certain times. After all, man was not responsible for the Greenhouse Effect on Venus. Venus' fate was probably sealed because it was just too close to the sun. Our fate will eventually be sealed not by our tiny impact on our planet but by the much larger impact of the Sun and the nature of the Earth's orbit and the changes in it's axial tilt causing ice ages. We need to adapt or die. It is no good expecting the Earth not to change or trying to keep it the same. We will ultimately only survive by becoming a species that can travel to and colonize new planets.
