  • Type a single quote (') in front of the zero; the zero will show but the single quote wont.
  • Although preceding the number with a single quote will force the leading zero to be displayed, it will be turned into text and so it cannot be used in calculations. If you want to use the cells in calculations select them, go to the Format... Cells menu, select the Number tab and then select Custom from the list. In the text box labelled 'Type' enter 00#######, where the number of 0's is the number of leading zeroes you want and ##### represents the maximum number of digits the number will contain.
  • Easyest way is Format the cell as "text" type and it will keep the 0. (I am presuming that this feild will not be used in any calculation
