I would honestly just look for someone that can keep my attention. Some people, they can read you the dictionary and keep you entertained while doing it. It's not always a physical thing, it's just the way they say it. People who know how to talk and make people listen can sell anything.

Their ability to "listen." Most salespeople want to astound you with all their knowledge. Sales isn't about the salesperson, it's about the customer. Asking probing questions and finding out what's the most important thing about the customer's choice in making a purchase. Sooooo, listening ability, dependability, ambition, plans for the future. Appearance is important also.
