REAL Absinthe is kind of like Jaegermeister with a bit of wormwood extract in it. The two most notable other ingredients are Anise and Fennel. Like wine, there are different types of Absinthe, though those are the basics. I have yet to have the real stuff as it's tricky to get a bottle of the good stuff at a decent price. As for the Czech stuff... stay away. Comparing Czech Absinth (no 'e') to Absinthe is like comparing moonshine to an 18-year single barrel.
