I'm sure it would depend on the severity of the infraction, whether it is company policy or if you broke a law, and how long it would take to investigate the circumstances. I would contact the labor board, which is in the phone book for your area under government, in the state section. Although company policy may differ from state law, state law overrules any company policies, unless company policies are lesser.
