Why do Mormons approach people with the Book of Mormon if it doesn't contain their most important doctrines? Why don't they give out copies of their other scriptures instead of the Book of Mormon?

Actually, we *do* give out copies of the other scriptures, in addition to the Book of Mormon. Haven’t you ever seen the commercials where the Church offers a free copy of the Bible? Furthermore, the missionaries gave me and my best friend copies of the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price, so it’s not just the BoM. This actually reminds me of a guy that, during my mission to Spain, asked me why we usually give away the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible. My answer: how many people do you know that don’t already have the Bible in their homes?
