  • maybe the heatercore is blocked and needs to be replaced or flushed. Also I know this may seems silly but make sure theres coolant in the resivoir. For other possible reasons you may want to call your local auto store, or maybe even a garage in your area and ask their advice. They can advise you free of charge, and if its something detailed that needs to be fixed you can always grab a chilton manual or a haynes manual inexpensively and get descriptions as well as diagrams in fixing it appropriately. Good luck.
  • Check the valve that lets in the engine coolant into the heater core they are usually vaccum controlled. Look for leakage to indcate a bad valve, but also check the vaccum line to see if it's off or cracked, also run the engine, turn on the heater then check to see if the vaccum line has vaccum to operate the valve. You can also get a piece of vaccum hose and manually apply vaccum to the valve and watch for the valve to activate.
  • This sounds like the common blend door problem on this model. The plastic door is driven by a DC motor that is geared too strong for the application. Over time the motor will overstress the door and break the connector. There is a video available on YouTube showing how to diagnose and repair the system. It is an expensive repair at the dealer, but you can repair it yourself with minimal skills. You can find links to the video and additional information on www.heatertreater.net
