God gave people "Free Will" People who are BAD in GODS eyes will get what they have coming to them... But humans have no right to judge. Says god.

well there's worse things in the world than gays having sex and there's worse places than San Fran where they happen...torture, rape, mutilation, snuff, child prostitution etc. When people get on the subject of Sodom and Gomarahh they tend to get on the pulpit about gay sex when in fact God smote them for doing every conceivable act both sexual and non known to man basically, not just having gay sex. I am no christian, far from it, and I am not gay, but I wish people would stop using the bible to argue gay "sin" and focus on the REAL sexual horrors going on out there in the world.

God told Lot that he would not destroy the cities if he could find one righteous person. t turned out that not a single one could be found, so burn they did. The cities you mentioned have at least one righteous person in each of them.

Here is my answer!

In Genesis 18 we have the story of Abraham pleading with this Lord not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for the sake of the righteous that lived in them. Abraham eventually got God to promise to spare them if He could but find ten righteous people in them. Unfortunately, the Lord was not able to even find that many righteous people. So, he command the only righteous people he could find (Lot, his wife, and just two of his daughters) to flee and destroyed the cities. I would hazard to say that as depraved as many of the people in both San Francisco and New York City are, there are still many more than 10 righteous people in each of them. So, they are safe from God's judgment because of the righteous that do live among them. However, if there ever comes a day when they thrust the righteous out from among them, then they should be concerned for their own safety.

1. I don't think anyone in San Francisco or New York has tried to rape an angel. 2. God never said he would repeat his actions if similar circumstances occurred. 3. Why must belief in Sodom and Gomorrah mean literal, historical belief? I believe in the story, in that I believe it was inspired by a person's or people's relationship with God, and that it has lesson(s) to impart because of this.

It was NOT because of sodomy they were destroyed but because they wanted to rape and murder the angels. Lot offered his two virgin daughters to those who were out there, and it was Lot's right to do so as master of his home. The men of Sodom “went after strange flesh…” (Jude 6-7). Conventional interpretation of this phrase makes it a reference to homosexuality. But the quick and obvious disclaimer to that is that the word “strange” is from the Greek, heteras. You can see it on the surface can’t you. It is the word from which we get our English, “hetero” as in hetero-sexual. This cannot possibly be homo-sexual conduct. The pursuit of “strange” flesh here is directly compared to “angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode,” (vs. 6). This is the same incident referred to by Peter (2 Pet. 2:4f.) in connection with the attempt of angels to copulate with humans in Noah’s day. Jude and Peter are talking about the same thing. Sodom’s men were not condemned for seeking “homo” flesh, but for attempting to have sex with angels. Now isn’t it obvious? Lot’s visitors were angels in human form, and Sodom’s men attempted to rape them. That’s all there is to it. No homosexuality, per se, even enters the picture. Honestly it's just a matter of time. I believe that when God does make those responsible pay it'll involve alot more than San Francisco & New York.

Well maybe because, according to the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed because of any sexual activity, deviant or otherwise. Did you really read the Bible? Did you get past Genesis 19, say as far as Ezekiel 16:49?
