1. The rest of the cooling system is working fine, the antifreeze level is full and you have no heat. This can mean the heater core is plugged. If it is flushed and there is still no heat it needs to be replaced. 2. The heater core is leaking. This will result in a puddle on the ground with loss of coolent in the radiator, a sweet smell inside the car, excessive fog or film on the windows, wet floor mats or carpet in the front seat, any or all of the above.
