  • ones who down rate a question with out giving a reason as to why is a troll. they just like to piss off people by going around and down rating people
  • It would most definitely be fair!
  • I like your question even though I have no argument for it. It is meta-analytical which is right up my alley. I hope you are better than I at getting out of the thinking mode frequently and into feeling mode. Not an easy transition for some of us. (btw I do mean 'meta' and not 'mega')
  • yes i agree buttman, nothing but skankin cowards!
  • I only downrate if I feel the question stigmatises or isolates a particular group of people. And I think that's a perfectly valid reason to downrate. I would not be fulfilling my personal AB civil duty if I just 'moved on' from a question like that.
  • i have no idea what "your" opinion is and your question is confusing as can be so in "my" opinion which does not seem to matter as stated in your question... a blend of yes and no... yo... why didn't you answer it yourself?
  • people should just ignore the question
  • Yes of course. But the world doesn't always follow the rules of fairness so it's best to accept the fact that some people always have and always will DR without reason and move on to another issue. I've had my ratings indicator off for months now so I wouldn't even know the difference.
  • I think that that is very fair and is how it should be done. I am a big proponent of "give reasons for downrating" and "just because you do not agree with a question or answer does not mean it deserves a downrate." If a question or answer is bad enough deserve a downrate, I believe it merits a comment. I am always very happy to express my opinion in an answer or a comment in such a case.
