You open a business, a girl applies for an interview. she's qualified quite well, good personality, and gets along well with you, but she wears a headscarf. would you not hire her for fear of losing customers?

If I did not hire her for that reason, I could be sued for discrimination. That said, if I have customers who wouldn't come in because, god forbid, i hired someone who wears a headscarf, I don't want their money.

For me, it would only depend on what type of business and what position she applied for ... I would probably hire her ... I do run two small businesses from my home with no employees other than myself ... I would not be interested in starting a new business that would only profit from clients that would be against doing business with her ... The headscarf is fine by me, but I would rather not hire some one who MUST pause their work to pray several times per day.

Of course not. If people are that ignorant not to go somewhere just because somebody has a scarf on their head, that is their problem...not mine.
