  • With technology, people are lazier, all over the world.
  • Yes, they are, and so are most people in Westernized countries. We don't work like we used to making our living the hard way, cleaning our homes by hand, families all working together. We don't stay fit from natural activities taken place over our work hours. We have to get to the gym and force ourselves to exercise. We even have more 'daylight hours' with the advent of lighting, but still just sit around and stay up doing nothing.
  • Much lazier. All the technology that has made our lives simpler has caused much of it. And it seems parents are afraid to let their children go out to play and explore, unlike my childhood.
  • During the early years of America we had to struggle against the local natives, foreign governments, nature and each other. We overcame the natives (and now use their slots), beat-up all the foreign governments and significantly tamed mother nature. That leaves only each other to keep fighting. So we don't have to work as hard to accomplish as much in a day. You might say we're much more efficient with our expenditures of energy than we used to be...or you might say we've become lazy. I like to think we're just more efficient. But then, take a look at the "emerging" countries, like China and India (total over 7 billion people) and South America. The citizens of those countries are fighting each other, nature, foreign countries and also struggling for position among world powers. They're fighting to ge what we've got.
