  • I understood that some users have been doing already something of that kind for various reasons. The idea would be just to create another account. 1) Some Answerbaggers have committed "Baggicide". They start a new account and they don't use their old account anymore for asking or answering questions. However, they still use it to rate the answers that they become to their old questions and to give some comments. They usually do this because they did not like the idea of being at the top of the list and carry a huge burden of expectations, I think. 2) Some other Answerbaggers have created one (or several) "Sockpuppet[s]". This is another, secret identity, which could allow them to give more points or even to give points to themselves. This would certainly be unfair, but I don't know what the politics of Answerbag concerning Sockpuppets is. If this is not done too obviously, maybe it is not so easy to detect. 3) Some Answerbaggers discovered that they had told too many private things about themselves, including eventually illegal or offensive things, and tried to let them disappear. In some extreme cases, they could ask Answerbag to erase their whole profile (but this happens rarely and you need very good reasons to reach this). 4) Some Answerbaggers supposedly create an extra profile to make some tests or to ask offensive or adult questions, which they don't want to interfere with their normal profile. 5) All the above are only some guesses of mine. I don't know exactly if those things are really happening, to what extent, and what is the Answerbag policy about them.
