  • The Bible specifically condemns consulting mediums or using divination or sorcery for guidance. In the absence of a rational explanation for the source or value of horoscopes, I would include them in the same class as these and therefore conclude that the Bible condemns consulting them for guidance. See also Jer. 10:2, basically it says don't worry about signs in the skies. If you read them just to laugh at the way they generalize or obscure things to try to make them appear significant while being applicable to almost anyone in almost any situation, I don't believe this is wrong but I don't advise it either.
  • The Bible strictly forbids the practice of horoscopes or any other kind of supernatural calling or practice. As a matter of fact, King Saul fell out of favor by God because he used a witch to call up the spirit of the Prophet Samuel.
  • Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Isaiah 47:13
  • I'd imagine that the Bable would see horoscope reading as competition, thus, not approve of it
  • Answering "nogod4me" - Actually, the author of the Bible does relay this info. In Ephesians 6:12 it says: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against he authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." In the book of Revelation chapter 9 vs. 21 it says: "nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts." Leviticus 19:26: "Do not practice divination or sorcery." Deuteronomy 4:19: "And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven." The point isn't just that God hates idolatry of any kind - he wants his creation, people, to trust HIM with all of their hearts-if He made it, He knows what is best for it - he tells his children in Proverbs 3:5-8 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and sun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones." He wants the best for his children - In Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Point: trust God...He made the universe. He made us.
