  • I had some severe back spasms last summer, for which my doctor prescribed a muscle relaxant/tranquilizer. When my partner recently experienced a similar thing, I let him take some - but starting out with a half-dose, just in case.
  • I was the receiver of the drug in the scenario you describe. Because we had the same symptoms, and the pill worked to relieve.
  • I have prescription 800 Motrin and hand that out to my female friends with cramps like it's candy. I do this because they don't have insurance and it works for them.
  • Yes I have shared some pain pills with someone that needed it.
  • Yeah, my roomie and I swap prescription drugs when we get sick. *shrugs*
  • I won't do it because I wouldn't want to be the cause of any adverse effects should they happen.

  • I had prescription advil that I shared with a co-worker, he had his wisdom teeth out and he was hurting at work. Besides, i figure, he can have one of mine, or he can have 4 non-prescription strength ones-- it's the dosage, not the ingredients, that made it prescription. I still have the pills in my first aid kit.
  • yes and it's illegal. I had some pain pills which did not work for me..they might as well have given me candy. I was just going to throw them out and so I gave them to someone who needed them. I have had anti depressant samples which I could not take and i gave them to someone who ran out and had no insurance coverage. It would have costed them about $400.00 for a 10 day supply so rather than trash them, I gave them away.. I know it's illegal but why throw out good pills when people who have no insurance coverage could use them.
