    i don't know of any religion that prohibits listening to music. i know of some that condemn the type popular with the youth, such as rap, death metal, etc. not all music is bad. even the older music that was made decades ago can be considered objectionable. some classical music (which i happen to love) could be considered immoral, because of its contents. it is unfair to label all music bad just because some of it is.
