There are many physical reasons cutting is not good; risk of infection and risk of substantial damage are just two. The deeper and more serious risk is long lasting psychological damage. I urge you to seek input from a professional. They can offer input on a wide array of negative aspects of cutting and offer suggestions about how to deal with it in a positive way.

I know everyone is different but a friend I have used to cut. It was like drugs, she had to cut deeper and more often because the underlying psychological issues weren't being addressed. If you are cutting in secret you could pass out from blood loss unnoticed or risk damaging nerves or getting an infection etc. Even if you do manage to overcome this (which I really hope you do) you could be left with some serious scars which may adversely affect you psychologically. There are better, safer ways of easing your pain. Please get help.

I dont think cutting is bad. I used to cut severley where i got to the point where you couldnt see skin on my arm. my parents found out and sent me to a mental hospital for 10 days. I still secretly cut but i have to be smart. I dont think anything is wrong
