  • I actually do really well on that -- I work so much that I don't take time to go see movies or shop or anything. But, every once in a while I just have to buy a magazine or a soda -- those are my two downfalls.
  • Maybe a day... I love my books, movies, and cds you'll almost always find me talking about them, watching / listening / reading them, and doing other things that has to do with them!!!
  • It's a way of life for me. I have kids who enjoy doing things that cost money. My reward is seeing them happy.
  • I haven't bought a CD for years, and I just watch movies at home these days. I recently bought a book, but I've always wanted to own such a book (World History, we don't have that yet). Besides, it's very cheap.
  • Not long. I love going to the movies. I only buy songs now if they get stuck in my head, I've bought my 'essentials'.
  • I cant help myself spending on books
  • I never buy any of those, if i did, i'd have to get a job and start working again. I prefer my freedom.
  • I can't classify any of those things as needless. They provide entertainment and learning. Obviously if I have only $10 and need to eat, food comes first. But I would work harder and next time have $20 so part of it could go for books, etc.
  • Well, for me it's been YEARS. For my wife, she buys books occasionally, and I usually get DVDs from my kids/step-kids for birthdays, maybe Father's day, and Christmas.
  • I can go forever without those things,Im worried about feeding my children(with the cost of food so high) and having a roof over our heads
  • I do that now and it's not a problem at all. I love books and it's been about 3 months since I've bought one, but I can still borrow them and watch movies on TV or again, borrow them.
  • I'm doing that NOW. So, at least 2 years....
