Why do you hate cats? I hate cats because they're so silent. It's like they're thinking of something nasty to say about you.

I do not hate cats. I only hate strayed cats for the following reasons: (1) I was given to understand strayed cats are prone to diseases and therefore they are a nuisance. (2) Strayed cats do their businesses every where and they can be real messy. (3) They multiple very fast and this can be scary. (4) They are not afraid of human. You look at them they look back at you.

I love my cat but i know what you mean about the silent bit,if im sat on my own she silently comes up and sticks her nose on my face...frightens me to death sometimes.

I don't hate cats. Mine are not quiet. They have lots of different expressions with their meows and purrs. Plus, if you earn a friendship with certain cats you can become that one unique person that they like. Plus mine kill insects and spiders, I appreciate that!

Don't hate cats... they are as silent as we want them to be.... they would cuddle up and ask a place in your lap ONLY when they WANT to.. that's too human isn't it?

my cats are the most faithful companions next to my husband. they comfort me when they know i am upset. i have had cats for 21 years and can't imagine life without them.

NO cat haters here. I love my furry little bums. They are anything but quiet and aloof. They are into everything and want to help or at least supervise people at every step of the way. You can hear ours running up and down the stairs, leaping from couch to window, chasing each other and fairly scaring the dog and she weighs 140 lbs!

I'm a dog person, and even though I have a cat, I still did not get them totally. She just happened in my way, I couldn't reject her. She is sweet and stuff, but generally they are really weird animals. For example, they don't ever smile. Even birds demonstrate their joy, but a cat.. she never fails to demonstrate her ignorance. I cook yummiest things for her... put it in her plate, call her over... she is stretching on her way, never shows that she is interested. She hates to be taken in hands, hates to be touched, only sometimes uses us to brush her, but after a minute walks away with "don't touch me" face... No affection, no joy - nothing... This one looks like she wants to say "Leave me alone, already!"... I got used to her, I understand her body language, but cat's personality is so distant, unadmiring, indifferent. Never the less, I love her. She is cute and talks back (fot cat's brain it's a lot!)...

Seems to me a strange reason to hate cats. Most people I know that say they "hate" them usually are people who are allergic. I love cats, and we have five. They are all quite vocal as much as they are silent. They are snuggly, loving companions and they are entertaining little clowns.
