i used to think of really black people with mopeds and small run down buildings, but then for workexperience i worked in a skwl and there was a small white girl with blonde hair and she and hair parents were from south africa, so now i think of just white people and a small community with poor education,###############? is tht right?

Lived there for 30 years. Go back from time to time to CT. So Durban, South and North coast or city central. I wll guess and say you live in "The Bluff""

This may be an ignorant first thought, but: I get the image of an extremely Aryan population.

My best mate is from Durban. He doesn`t stop telling me about it. But if I took his word for everything, it is the apocalypse on earth. I am hoping it is not as bad as he portrays.

Ummmm ooook..... reality, your making south africans look dumb..... Im a 21 year old, white, male, student.... Im south african... and I find that sum of SA is in bad poverty.... And the real problem is our leaders... with most of our ministers being corrupt and stealing money from the tax payer, the poor are getting poorer..... and the middle class is fading with average debt in households at about 78% of the monthly income.... Intrest rates are unbelievably high... and with prices on food, fuel, cars, clothes, and basically everything else, its getting harder and harder to make a living... and im not saying that our country is decaying because we have black leaders in power, but because we have incompetent leaders... Isnt it funny how we get raped with tax, and then our country is still falling apart.... with zenophobic attacks because of no jobs.... because people cant afford to pay their mortgage.... and reality, the problem is you dont read newspapers and watch the news.... Its not white people in the high chairs anymore its black people... because of affirmative action, ill probably never get a decent job which i can support myself on nevermind a family.... thats why im going to leave this country, even though it's probably the most beautifull in the world, and everyone i know and love is here...

Well i lived there for 10 years, and havent been back since 97 (or 96, cant quite remember) i still have family there, and from what they tell me i dont think i would want to visit again... such a shame, a lovely no - beautiful country going to waste. I loved the Kruger park.. awesome.

I've known a couple people who used to live there, so mostly I think of them.
