  • They were never wrong, but if you're referring to the Seth McCellan book that came out recently, nothing has been revealed in that book that was not known before about the Bush Administration. That they went into war based on shady intelligence and promoted it through propaganda is not news to most people. The book is being hailed as an expose' of sorts, when it really doesn't say contain any revelations about the President Bush. He is a disgraceful President and everyone already knows it.
  • I am not against or for Bush. I would not want his job or responsibility because no one who serves can make perfect choices and he is accountable for a lot. So .. I am 50/50 on him. I have always liked most of the Dixie Chick's songs. I feel they had every right to say what they wanted. It honestly does not matter to me either way what they think of him. Had more people agreed with them.. I am sure they would have had more cushioning but if they speak out and make a stance.. then they make the choice to make others aware they need to choose sides. I do not think it was very bright to make such a stance and put their livelihoods at risk when they can vote like the rest of us but they felt the need.. and the public felt the need to make their stance. I found it to be fair game. They brought it there so they took the chance. They should have looked out for their careers and steered clear of the politics but that is just my opinion.
  • Americans weren't upset at WHAT they said. It was the fact that they waited until they got off American soil to say it. We respect the right to say anything, just have the decency to say it to our faces. They waited until it was "safe". And they weren't destroyed. Their new album is selling well.
  • i never thought they were wrong cuz they were using their right to freedom speech...a lot of people say things about president bush and they dont get punished for it...i think itz bull crap just cuz their famous and they way they were treeated wuz ridiculas...whatever people are retarded
  • They weren't wrong then and they aren't wrong now. If you have an opinion, is it only wrong to voice that opinion if you are famous? Why the backlash? I never could understand it. I was no huge Chicks fan (country is not my genre) but when they released their first CD after the brouhaha, I bought it just to show some support for the stance they took, and to protest the stupid reaction that many of their fans had.
  • They weren't wrong at all to exercise their right to free speech. They were only saying what millions of other people felt. I've always and still do like the Dixie Chicks.
  • I agreed with what they said, and I didn't particularly care where they said it. I've always thought the public's reaction was way over the top.
  • No and I felt for those gals when it happened. How the ignorance of mob mentality can destroy lives.
  • They weren't wrong and I didn't think they were when they said it.
