Is it possible that President McCain could do a worse job than George Bush?

I am actually proud to call George Bush my president. Leadership is about making the decision that is right when it is popular and unpopular. I am proud of the way he has not let public opinion shake his position. So yes, he could do a worse job and still be a damn good president.

Well, it's unlikely, as Bush is the worst President ever, but considering McCain is proving to stand for 4 more years of the same, it's possible. After all, McCain has endorsed making permanent Bush's tax cut gifts to the rich, his unjust multi-trillion $ war, and just about everything else the fanatics on the Right have promoted.

Anything is *possible*, but I think it unlikely. Bush has been one of the worst presidents ever, has taken the US unto an unnecessary and damaging war, and put the country deep into debt. I am naturally close to the Democrats, but McCain is the Republican I most respect. I think he is intelligent and logical, neither of which describes Bush. His views are waaaay to the right of mine, but he is working in the real world, not in fantasy land. Therefore I think he would most likely be much better than Bush. But I don't think he is going to get the chance.

It is not saying much that Senator McCain would be better then George Walker Bush because that is not a very high standard to meet, in fact, it's hard to imagine someone who wouldn't be better than Bush of any stripe or party. McCain would probably be better than Bush, but he's still terrible -- Being better than George Walker Bush is a very low bar to set -- Being better than George W. Bush is not all that much of a compliment / achievement for any of the candidates.

I am not American thus I don't feel up to it to criticize the President of the United States. Senator McCain - Republican is an excellent candidate for Latin American interests and Democrats are excellent for the European Union. Regards.
