yes.

For the job, definitely. And - I don't know if this matters - but I think they're unattractive. *blushes*
-
If you want one, go for it. You can always take it out for an interview and ask the school if they have any problems with them.
-
Definitely unprofessional. My kids are in grade school and middle school and I would have a hard time taking a teacher with a nose or lip piercing seriously. Makes you appear a little immature and free-spirited. Sorry!
-
Now is the time to do it before you have to have a professional and authoritive appearance. Just don't wear it to an intterview or on the job. Lip rings are still too edgy for most. I have eight earrings and have had jobs where I have been asked not to wear them.

No, you are still a student. you can do it now, just don't do it when you get a job teaching, what you do now is your business. Who knows you may change your mind between now and then. I had a friend with a masters degree and continued bartending because he made more money than teaching. He started teaching when he was getting married, and wanted to settle down.

My child will not be taught by anyone with body piercings, visible tattoos, wild, unnaturally colored hair, skirts above the knee, or pregnant outside marriage. Oh, good luck in your future profession. Enjoy your summers off!!!
-
Stand up for your right to wear what you will. It's your body. If the kids ask say you got it in a freak accident or it was for religious purposes. That also works on the parents as an excuse
-
It's not something a person who is taking teaching children seriously would have.
-
For now NO, but when u r a teacher YES
-
Lip rings are unprofessional unless you are in the profession of piercing, in which case it is good advertising. As you are not yet a teacher, however, now is the time if you must get one. Be prepared to lose it if you want to work in most districts.
-
Not really. I know a guy who has tattoos creeping up his neck and encroaching on his face. He's a music teacher in an exclusive Private School on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
-
If you're going to do something wild, like get a piercing or dye your hair a bright color, then now is the time to do it, before you go out into the world. Be aware that you'll probably need to remove the ring when you go to work or have a job interview.

You should be welcome in the Mursi tribe (Ethiopia) or the Suyá tribe (Amazon jungle, Brazil). I think this lip disk is much cuter than a commonplace lip ring. You'd feel right at home in the Mursi Tribe of southwestern Ethiopia: http://k43.pbase.com/o6/90/395790/1/70056272.gTI0mxIx._MG_3519a.jpg This Kompiam wigman (Australia) is also appealing: http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/03ep3TEfEvh1I/610x.jpg If you really want to wow the education crowd, I recommend the ornamentation of this Huli wigman, Papua, New Guinea (Tari Region of the Southern Highlands): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8d/Huli_wigman.jpg ==========================================

Most places will not hire you if you wear that. Not a good choice for a job interview, that's for sure.

no, i believe that it would help pupils in your classes you teach that everyone is unique and that you don't have to follow the norm beside if you dislike it, usually you can remove them and they heal up quite nicely
