  • They do have one at my supermarket. "expectant mothers parking"
  • Actually there are a lot of stores in my area (not all, but quite a few) that DO have expectant mother parking spots.
  • They do in many shopping centers or wholesale clubs. However I must say when I was waddling pregnant, I parked just like everybody else....and I lived
  • I think its one in the same, technically you are with an infant right?
  • Handicapped spots, I have no problem with. That is not a choice. Being pregnant or having kids is almost always a choice.
  • They do have those where I live.
  • Some places do, but, that is such a debatable subject 'cause on one hand, pregnant women are encouraged to walk as much as possible, then on the other hand the pregnant person could have a high risk pregnancy & are encouraged not to overdo it. But, I've had 2 pregnancies & I understand the uncomfortable feeling that comes with creating a new life ;) ........
  • I think that would be a very good idea. Being a male I've never experienced the 'joy' of carrying around another human inside of me, but if these spots are there for people that have difficulty getting around, I'd vote yes.
  • Well the Spots we have where i live (calgary, alberta) are for 'expectant mothers and mothers with small children'
  • OMG! Pregnant women aren't ill, or suffering from some condition that makes them unable to W a l k. Once you are out of the car, the hard part is over. And besides, most pregnant women don't get nearly enough exercise. I think that is kinda ridiculous. ( I am a mother of 2, and was glad I did stay active during pregnancy.)
  • Hmmm. I do believe that there should not be extra spots exclusively for expecting mothers. But I am all for women's rights. If not already, I do believe that pregnant women should have the right to get a handicap permit from first trimester of pregnancy until a year after birth. I can't tell you how many times I've drove through Walmart seeing a plethora of unused handicap parking spaces and pregnant women walking from the back of the parking lot. All whilst sring break traffic whizzing in and out of lanes.
  • What about men with erections and the inebriated? Morbidly obese should park in the south forty so they can walk.
  • No. It's crazy! Enough of this!
  • I've seen a parking lot with that feature. Haven't shopped there though. too far from my home.
  • Just saying some arent as lucky as you to have an easy going pregnancy.
  • Those spots already exist
  • i'd just use the parent and child spaces.you are with child after all.
