If you had to choose what kind of birthday dessert treat you wanted, what would it be? In other words cake - what flavor and what color decorations, pie - what kind, cookies - what kind, or something else?

I would have a cheesecake and it would be chocolate. I would want it to be put in the freezer so when I ate it, it would be frozen because that's how I like to eat my cheesecake.

My mother always made this truly wonderful cake for my birthday. It was chocolate, with filling made of vanilla pudding and whipped cream, with maraschino cherries chopped up and mixed in, then the cake frosted with chocolate icing. Yum!

OKAY: this is a chore I like. I would want a seven layer white cake, with mocha filling between the layers, and a very thick mocha icing. For decoration I would want very small yellow flowers circling the top and the sides of the cake; and a large yellow book centered on the top. And the title of the book: "Mary Webb, Librarian"

I want a homemade, thick, cakey, gooey, fudge-covered brownie with bits of walnut and chocolate chunks baked in. The kind that requires a gallon of milk to swallow thoroughly. Oh, gods what I wouldn't give for one of those right now.
