Question

Help answer this question below.

Will my German Shepherd do well on Bananas? Just a thought cos I'm having so much trouble with diarrheoa and it's intermittent, then all the time then not at all for 4 or 5 days. One same small meal a day for 12 weeks & for weight

Get the feaces examened, could be a bowel parasite infection.

Banana's are high in sugar. Sugar can aggrevate diarrhea. Otherwise, they are fine for dogs.

Try a diet that is easy for him to digest for a few weeks: boiled chicken (white meat) and brown rice. Then ease in to the weight gainers.

There are also special foods made for sensitive digestive systems and for gaining weight. They cost more at the outset than regular brands, but because it is healthier, it is more cost effective in the long run. Talk to your vet.
