Do rabbits know how to find their way back home?

I don't know, but I wouldn't think they could unless they really know the way. They are a bit territorial in the wild, but if chased far away, don't usually come back to their home.

Our rabbit has frequent adventures in next door's garden, and a little bit farther afield (he's an escapologist). He always comes back in the evening and waits at the gate to be let in so he can be put away into his hutch with his mum.
