Why do some people hate gay people? Most gay people I know are funny, intelligent, caring, interesting people. I just don't understand.

they are unable to see past theirselves, and their own problems. prejudice/discrimination is never the key. just be accepting and tolerant. Nobody's perfect - why would someone judge another; they themselves have flaws. I think people 'hate' gays because they are different. Prejudice people aren't educated about why someone is gay and how they feel. Gays are human beings, not aliens. No different than someone of another race, religion, gender, etc.

they are afraid they will make a pass at them. they are afraid they will be touched by them. gays seem to like eye contact, that is threatening to them that are afraid. plus they dont have any positive experiences with the gay community. its just what is seen on television and at the movies. they probably know gay people and dont even know that they are gay.

A few reasons that I can think of. 1. Gay people are bashed in school--but why? Some say it's because of others being insecure of their sexuality and others say it's an athropological way to choose the 'fittest'. 2. A sin to the monotheisms.

I'm not sure why some people hate anyone. You should always love someone as a human being regardless.

I don't understand either .. I have a male gay friend .. I always take him shopping lol .. he picks out the best under garments :p

I am not sure why anyone would hate others for any reason. I would imagine it's because the haters are ignorant and fearful. And maybe also the way they were brought up.

I have read and heard from specialists that people who have hidden fears or are fighting what they think are "demons inside" become very "anti" whatever they are trying to eliminate from their own heads. Some of the strongest moralists you may find these days turn later to be some kind of perverts.... a very conservative, moralist Senator who was looking for men in a public bathroom comes to my mind...
