Virgo is Always holding Wheat, that is why it is called House of Bread, House of Bread in latin translates into Bethleham, that is why the virgin is in bethleham, the symbol for virgo is the altered M, M for Mary aka Virgin mary, And in some old Calenders Virgo was the first month therefor the Sun(jesus) is born in Bethleham(virgo) of a Virgin, Jesus — The Sun. Comparative Religion shows that all the ancient religions were forms of sun worship. The story of Jesus is just another allegorical personification of the sun as will be shown here. Herod — Night; Darkness. We have seen in the lecture on Night how Darkness is the original evil. The ancient religious stories personified the evil Darkness and gave it names. In this case the name for Darkness is Herod. Darkness reigns supreme at night until overpowered by the rising sun in the morning. The sun rising in the morning is figuratively a form of the sun being born. Just before the sun rises all the stars disappear. Figuratively this is Darkness trying to save itself by killing all the stars. What better way to keep things dark than to kill all those little points of light. But Darkness fails to kill the sun. The sun rises, overpowering the Darkness, the darkness dies, and its reign is ended. There is no historical record of this mass infanticide slaughter ever actually happening or being ordered. It never really happened on Earth. Our whole story takes place in the starry night sky. Paul says, "For our conversation is in heaven [i.e. the stars above] from whence also we look for the Saviour [the Sun], the Lord Jesus Christ." (Philippians 3:20) The Three Magi or Wise Men — The three bright stars in the belt of Orion, which rise in the East just as the Sun sets in the West. These three stars travel across the sky at night and eventually set in the West at dawn. It's as if the stars were following the Sun, looking for it. Bethlehem — Literally "house of bread", referring to the zodiac house of Virgo the eternal celestial virgin. Star of Bethlehem — planet Venus, which is always seen near the sun. Joseph — the constellation Bootes, which is next to Virgo, the virgin.

As to the point that the Christ story was originally written in the stars: The statement: the three stars of Orion’s belt are the three kings. They align once a year with Sirius and point, at that time to the sun rise on Dec. 24th. This is the Biblical story of the three kings that follow the star in the east to find the sun( Son) of god. . I must admit, it sure sounds cool, until you look at the facts, which are incorrect on EVERY point:. 1. The three stars on Orion’s belt were only known as the Three Kings after the middle ages (as far as I can uncover on the internet). Even if they were known by that name, there were NEVER three kings that journeyed to find the Christ child. The Bible speaks of MAGI that went in search of the Christ. No number was ever stated. There could have been 50 of them for all we know. The term Magi most likely refers to what we know as astrologers, or people who read signs from the stars. This is the farthest thing from kings. 2. A star can not align with three other stars once a year. Stars are so far away that their movement is so slight that it can only be observed over a long period (years) and even then not by the naked eye (There is no proof of telescopes that long ago) . Planetary movement can be perceived by the naked eye, but not star movement. Sirius and the stars in Orion’s belt are STARS, which to us STAY aligned (in reality, Sirius has never been align with these belt stars, only approximately). So there could NOT have been this abnormal alignment of the stars to signify some spectacular event that would spur these Magi to look for the Christ. So the star in the east spoke of in the Bible must be something else entirely, most likely, a supernova or something along this line, that could appear in the sky all at once and thus appear as a spectacular astrological event. 3. While I have not researched the fact that these stars point to the sun rise on Dec 24th, it is irellavent because anyone who has watched the stars will attest, the stars rotate throughout the night. They may point to the sunrise at one point during the night, but only for a few minutes. So to make a big deal about this alignment pointing to the sunrise on a certain date seems pointless to me. Besides this fact, Christ was most probably NOT born on Dec 24th, Dec 25Th or anywhere near that date. The Bible does not give the day that Christ born. The only indication is to the fact that it was during the census counting, which normally occurred in the spring time, when it was easier to travel. But even this is a guess. So the entire basis of the stars pointing to this very sunrise date as the means to tie ancient astrology symbolism to the story of Christ is baseless. This entire story of Christ in the stars appears to me to only be nothing more than a fantastic creation in the minds of those who want to discredit Christianity. No. The Blessed Virgin Mary was are real historical human being and not a mythological Zodiac goddess. Mary is now in heaven with God and the other saints. Virgo is now lost in mythology and textbooks. With love in Christ.

Helios, it sounds like you asked this question hoping for a chance to bash Christians. Dishonest.

Virgin Mary is the personification of many things: rape, stupidity, suckering someone else

No, Mary the mother of Jesus has no relation to the pagan zodiac or to astrology. She was an exemplary Jewish girl whose faith must have appealed to God so that He chose her to carry the important role as the earthly mother of His son. Here is a link to some nice background information as to what we do know about Mary. http://www.watchtower.org/e/20050908a/article_01.htm If you ask one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in your community, they may be able to provide you with a back issue of the January 2009 Watchtower which featured a cover story called “What Can We Learn From Mary”? It was a very good read.

The constellation Virgo was given it's name by Ptolemy - between 150 and 160 AD (or CE, if you prefer). Just to point it out, that is at least 150 years after Jesus was born. Prior to that, the same constellation was known by it's Babylonian name - "the Seed Furrow". That being the case, it is very unlikely that Mary is a personification of a constellation that didn't exist yet.

The Zodiak is the story of redemption for the world, it tells the story of christ coming to save the fallen world from their(our) sins. it's actually amazing when you really understand it, this pastor does an excellent job explaining the zodiak and the names of each of the stars and how the zodiak tells the story of Christ. Yes the virgin in the zodiak is the virgin mary, check this audio teaching out: http://www.calvary-tricities.org/studies.html in the list of MP3 studies listed on the page with all the books of the bible, click on "Genesis", a list of chapters will appear, then click on "Chapter 1 - part 6" here's a direct link to the audio teaching that explains the zodiak and how it's the story of Christ the Savior coming to save us from our sins so that we may one day be with Him in eternity, in bliss, i can't wait. Direct link to the teaching: http://www.calvary-tricities.org/audio/genesis/gen006ch1f.mp3 It's an oral tradition that Adam and Eve used the Zodiak to teach their children the story of the savior that is to come, as promised by God in Genesis Chapter 3(it was promised after they sinned in the garden of eden).
