Do you think people should be able to go stag to their prom? Why would it be prohibited by a school?

I wasn't aware that it was against the rules. At our school you can buy one ticket or a couples ticket. And I think you should be able to do whatever makes me you happy!

Theres nothing wrong with going alone to prom if you feel comfortable with it. i can't think of why a school would prohibit it though. Im guessing its to make sure people don't feel left out?

Absolutely!!! I cant see any reason whatsoever that you cant go stag to your prom.... So they are saying that if you dont have a date, or just dont want the pressures of a date, then you cant come to the dance.. One of the most important dances in a young persons life... A place where memories are made just before teens are thrust into adulthood... How UNFAIR is it that if you dont have a date then your just out of luck??

I didn't have a date and went to mine alone with some girlfriends. I think it's silly to have to have a *date* to attend your prom. Take one of your girlfriends as your date.

You HAVE to have a date? You CANNOT go as a single or in a group of friends? I've never heard of such a thing! That is something worth challenging on discriminatory grounds, don't you think??

Of course people should be allowed to attend stag. I think it's just a way to make more money.
