  • T×™He same thing. It is called יהודה in Hebrew, which translates to Judah, Judea or Yehudah.
  • Judah is the tribe. Judea was the kingdom that contained mostly the tribes of Judah and Levi after the death of Solomon. The remaining Ten Tribes seceded and formed their own Kingdom of "Israel" after the death of Solomon. They didn't want to to live under the rule of Solomon's son. "Israel" was conquered by the Assyrians, and the inhabitants were forcibly relocated elsewhere. It was the Assyrian policy to make sure that the people they conquered didn't remain in a land that they would fight for. The Ten Tribes probably assimilated into the general population when they were moved. Thus, they are The Ten Lost Tribes. About 130 years later, Judea was conquered by the Babylonians, Temple Destroyed, etc. The Biblical and historical narrative continued with just the survivors of Judea.
  • In Hebrew there is no difference. In English it is the difference between a tribe and a regional area of Israel that was once occupied by that tribe. The Judean desert for example.
