I don't know. I have never seen mayo in a tin. Maybe it would react with the metal? Kind of a dumb idea anyway.

I don't want to sound like a copy cat but that is pretty nasty sounding. Some people actually like Tuna steaks BTW.

good question, I'm still trying to figure out why they now have Tuna and Premium Tuna...um if the Premium tuna is tuna what is the lesser tuna?!

I'd rather they didn't because I prefer Follow Your Heart's organic, egg free mayo and I doubt they'd use that.

SOME people CANNOT HAVE mayo and like tuna in cassarole... Mayo would not go well there. Some also (believe it or not) like tuna plain and in other things. And I believe they do (well SOME do...) Not everyone makes tuna salad with mayo. In the southern US, it's more often made with Miracle Whip, which is a very different product. Personally, I make it with ranch dressing.

They do. They have canned tuna salad kits with crackers. I think starkist makes it. Personally, I am glad they dont. The only canned tuna I like is the kind canned with olive oil, I know it sounds disgusting but I like plain just like that.

Because not everyone is going to use mayo on their tuna. It's used for much more than tuna salad

I'll go you one better, I often combine ours with relish. What I have done, is re-mix it at home, and make a sandwich spread that lasts longer and is cheaper than the tuna along. If they would come up with a Tuna-mix in a jar, it would be much cheaper than tuna alone.

bc they have tuna salad kits and they taste terrible premixed. Im with u on the idea it just doesnt turn out as good as ud think it would. So sad though.): I have mine w/miracle whip. So sweet and good.(:

some ppl use tuna in stew and for a variety of non anglopurposes.
