  • When the word "freedom" comes up, I often recall the scene in the movie "Crocodile Dundee"', when the reporter, Sue Charlton, asks Crocodile, "How old are you"? His reply, "Dunno". Sue says, "What do you mean, you don't know?" Mick replies, "Well, I asked the elders once and they said ....... in the summertime". Now that's about as close to freedom as I've heard.
  • In the Bible, it says "If the Son has set you free, you are free indeed". That is my definition of freedom- knowing I have been set free, by the saving death of Jesus, from the impossible task of having to earn my way to heaven, and can, because of his death and resurrection, live my life in assurance of his love. It also sets me free to do the good works that God has prepared for me to do, without compulsion or fear, but out of gratefulness.
  • that fact that you can ask questions like that with out being arested
  • freedom is to live your life not by force or by laws, but by choice of reflection. If ur maxims u live to, are resulting from your reason and not beig forced on u. freedom to me is to not bend the knees for anyone, but for god. freedom also is to overcome ones desire for Material things. freedom can be many things, i think u have to put it together with sth. ---> freedom freedom from what? its not easy to grasp but freedom is sth u never get, u have to take it !
  • Freedom is hard to define, it is flexable and varies between people. To me freedom is the ability to do and say what I like without having to explain myself to another, and being able to ask questions without fear of persecution. Being able to just go somewhere and do something without thinking about anything, being treated as I am - not judged on others perceptions of me. Being without worry, not being relied on in an annoying manner. But am I free?? No...
