I rarely ever downrate anyone, I think I have done it twice. But why do people get so upset and want others to defend why they downrate people? (I see a lot of questions on it and am just curious)

I have been down rated 2 times for 4-pts;) I have never down rated anyone;) If I don't like the question I do not answer it,If I get a bad comment I ignore it;) Thats just me;)

because 99% of people who do the D/Ring have not got the balls to leave a comment as to why they did, now if they said why most people would understand and the fact that you may get 10 to 15 D/R's to your Q&A's just because of a troll who doesn't like you (nothing to do with any answers)really pisses people off... so if you D/R someone leave a comment as to why

I think people who are upset about downrating and puts it in a comment are childish freaks who can't accept other people's opinions. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. People who complain are freaks who don't understand why the downrating system is there. Not everyone deserves a uprate. I give out my brutal opinion and the reason why for doing this. I don't always write down why I downrate sometimes.

people also get upset because they will get D/R on an opinion question. no opinion is right or wrong, but to down rate someone for their opinion says you only want to hear your side of the story.
