It certainly sounds fair to me. If she lost it it's her responsibility to replace it.

Do you agree that you contributed to the loss by leaving your chip in the computer? If so, ask sister to compromise by going halfies. The point is that you both have some responsibility for the loss.

Sorry, I have to agree with you sissy on this one. It is not her fault you forgot it. Even if she misplaced it, if you would have taken better care of it it wouldn't have happened. These things happen all the time, you just have to be super careful next time. My sister in law is a preschool teacher and she left her school issued MP3 player at school one day, and one of the kids stole it. The school wouldn't replace it because it was her carelessness that forgot it there. So sorry again hon, just learn a lesson from this...;)

I would say you are both at fault here, but you more so than your sister. It is your responsibility to take care of your things, but she should have put it somewhere easy to remember. Instead of telling your sister you are going to keep hers, why not ask her to help you look for your lost card. If you actually both look and clean up you will most likely find it. Asking for help or asking for things gets more of a better response than demanding it. I have younger sisters and I have children, from experience that is what I have found works best. Good luck finding your misplaced card :)
