I quit also and it was because I wanted to not the price. Look how expensive drugs are and people don't quit and it's for the same reason. All the high prices are doing is creating a black market for them. At least you knew (kinda) what was in them when you bought them at the store but with th black market there is no telling what you will be smoking.

I quit because it was becoming more of a hassile then anything else. Yes they were making me sick and the started to taste worse and it wasnt pleasureable anymore. I quit a week ago and besides the dizzyness which i am sure will pass i have been doing ok. Price had nothing to do with it but i am looking forward to saving the money

I quit when they got up above $4/pack. That was 2.5 yrs ago.

I quit when they hit $4 a pack about four years ago or so (or five, I don't remember), but then I started again when Philip Morris introduced Marlboro Blend No. 27. I quit for good Christmas 2006, but that had nothing to do with the price and everything to do with the fact that (1) my wife hated it, and (2) I prefer not dying to dying.

I never started cos they make you and your home STINK!

This year beginning January, I quit smoking 'cigarillos'. Two packs/boxes are lying in my garage ever since! Sometimes when I catch a glimpse of them walking past I talk to them, tell them off, curse at them, "YOU WILL NOT GET ME AGAIN, YOU BA****DS!" The price was only a minor consideration, it was my irritation to being a slave of this awful habit that made me stop.

I just gave up sold turkey last year. I said what's the point and this stuff is just making me cough and I quit like that. I've been cig smoke free for many a moon now and honestly I don't miss them at all. Smoking them just doesn't make any sense at all.

Honestly, they would have to be 10 dollars a pack. I remember being younder and cigarettes were 2.50 a pack, and we'd all be like we're all quitting if they became 5 dollars a pack! Which they are now. :p
