  • Yes, that's what it's designed for. But of course, water is best for this.
  • For longer events, like 40+ mile bike rides, I used to take alternate drinks from my Gatorade water bottle and my water water bottle. Straight Gatorade, and especially related drinks like Gatorload, can cause intestinal distress when you might be inconveniently far from plumbing. But I'd drink some BEFORE and during, instead of after to get your energy reserves up before you use them.
  • Depends on how much exercise you're doing. For the average exerciser, gatorade is just adding extra calories when it's not necessary.
