No, I don't agree. Sometimes having a discussion about something is just what one needs to understand it..that is what brainstorming and using friends for sounding boards is all about..you invite others' opinion, viewpoints and "takes" on things..sometimes you find you hadn't considered a certain aspect of something, and that was all it took to be convinced. :)

I disagree with Plato. Someone is not convinced of something himself because of his own lack of knowledge would not agree or put his trust in that something. However he may be convinced if I possess the level of knowledge to really make some sense out of that something to him. He may then agree and trust what I tell him concerning that something.
