Illegally downloading music. If you download all your music, then trees wont have to be cut down to make the paper inside CD covers, and there will be less plastic, as you wont be buying a CD case... LOL

There was a letter to a newspaper by someone claiming that wind farms were a terrible way to generate electricity, as so many fans all pointing in the same direction would slow down the earth's rotation! Barmy nonsense.

These huge "live aid" concerts with U2 etc...they fly in private jets and have huge productions that polute the environment. It is incredibly hypocritical.

I was in a grocery store in the Russian River area (Sonoma County) of California. In the produce section, they had organic apples.....flown in from New Zealand. Just to put that in perspective, that area of California is a *huge* apple-growing region. So, instead of selling apples from 5 miles down the road, the grocery store chain had them flown in from halfway around the world.

A local commercial for a furniture company suggested it would be better to have their customers drive in now instead of having their trucks out there delivering furniture. They actually touted it as doing their part to help save the planet.

One of my distributors has started sending thier product in reusable platic totes instead of cardboard boxes. The only problem is they are now wrapping each item in a cardboard sleeve for protection. I think there is more cardboard in the sleeves.
