  • No I think this is an infringement of human rights. There is a potential of crime and gangs with adults aswell and stopping minors having access to malls would probably push many towards crime. In my opinion crime in youths is often caused by lack of activites and places to go and this eventuality would limit this further.
  • No. Kids have to learn how to be part of society somehow, and malls are a good place to do this. I do think malls should invest in some kiddie kops to monitor the younger kids and make sure they know and follow the rules of polite society. For the older kids who might be more of a threat to others, a police presence (public or mall officers with detension power) would make a difference. Maybe the malls in other parts of the country have this monitoring going on. I wouldn't know about those. But I still think that kids need to be allowed in all public places and taught how to be there. In my parents day, the entire neighborhood functioned as the policing force. Nowdays no one will risk being prosecuted for trying to help. The bleeding hearts have over done thier good deeds and it is legally dangerous to try to protect yourself, your neighbors, your neighborhood or the kids in it. Today we have to hire adult supervision for our children - to do the job and accept the risk. Now, that is a crime against nature.
