If you dropped a penny and a feather at the same time off the empire state building which one would hit the ground first

    The penny. the feather will have a lower terminal velocity due to its size and likelihood to spiral and float around as it falls.

    In a perfect vacuum, they would both hit at the same time

    This is a trick question.
    In real terms, you'd drop the penny and feather from the observation deck.
    In that case, the feather would most likely be the only object to reach the ground. The penny would land on one of the outcrops of the building, thus never reaching the ground.
