  • I would never be cut on to improve my appearance to others. My role model for aging is Jessica Tandy.
  • I don't even wear makeup to "improve" my looks... I definitely wouldn't have "work" done to improve them! I think a society which places less emphasis on uniformity of looks would be a healthier society.
  • I plan to age naturally. I don't think there is any plastic surgery that can compete with living a decent life and a clean mind. It shows in the facial expression.
  • No, im gonna age gracefully.. i dont even wear makeup anymore as i cant find the time and really cant be bothered with it. If my 'bits' are heading south, then south they shall be!!!! lol I cannot stand to watch the likes of Jackie Stallone and Joan Rivers..its un natural!!
  • Hi, Nelson..I always choose truth over lies..so I choose getting old and not making a fuss over it! :) However I end up, it will be the way it was supposed to be..nothing added. You might say "organic" rather than filled with "preservatives"! :)
  • I can understand this question given the recent threads where guys claim they like fatties now *shrug*.
  • I'm not sure. The thing with surgery, is that it can only really work with what's already there - if you don't look after yourself, or have generally aged poorly, all the surgery in the world won't make you look beautiful, and the more you have, the more freaky you'll look. On a generally well-preserved person a few judicious nips and tucks can add to the effect and take a few years off (I'm thinking Lulu, Sharon Osbourne and the like here). They can tighten up the bags, but they can't make you look like you did twenty years ago. My game plan at the moment is to just keep on looking after myself with diet and exercise and good skincare and stay au natural as long as possible (I also have good genes to fall back on - my Mum still looks great well into her fifties). But you know, if I have the cash and I feel like it's worth it, I'm not ruling it out.
  • Well, I am very feminine and I love looking wonderful and if I have to wear a little cover up to hide the blemishes I will but it doesn't mean I'm going to avoid going camping and leave my makeup bag home. If I have to tan a little to make my skin appear healthier, I will but it's not something I "need" to do. I will age gracefully as I understand that my physical appearance is only temporary and I am internally happy enough and secure enough to accept growing old. Even in my old age, I imagine I'll still wear makeup and do my hair, but to spend crazy money on cosmetic surgery where you have no idea what the possible after effect will be like or you'll have to continue to spend MORE on maintenance?...I'll pass.
  • I dye my hair because it is drab, aside from that I plan to age naturally. Changing my outside would not change the inside. I would rather not waste the time and money in my life working on a false front.
  • I'm just letting things happen in their own way.
  • My nose is complete reconstructive surgery after it was flattened in a car wreck when I was 18. That is the only such surgery I have had and it was a medical necessity. At that, I was given the option to have any nose I wanted due to the level of destruction of my original. The surgeon said "pick your nose." (yes, he said that and yes, we both burst out laughing when he did). He told me to bring in any picture of anyone I wanted and he would make it so. I got a picture of myself (one of the few) and said that I wanted my nose back. It is not an unnoticeable shnozz, it had a bulb on the end, and it is in no way perfect. So, I have my old nose back with the addition of a little bump in the middle and a little turn to the left. The new additions gave it some extra character. I am very happy with it. I would not, for any reason, have a body altering procedure. I will not even dye or perm my hair. After 46 years I have completely "virgin" hair. I am growing in some whites and even when I go completely white that is how it is going to be. I do not believe in altering my body that way. I do not think badly of people who do but it is not for me. It is not how I was raised and is not traditional for my people.
  • If having "work done" makes one feel better and happier when they look in the mirror . . . go for it! If I look "old" in the mirror, I'm going to feel "old."
  • Nicole Kidman!!! She would put anyone off having surgery. Salaam
